Palma Ceia SemiDesign to use Agile Analog Configurable IP
Agile Analog, a leading provider of semiconductor analog IP, today announced Palma Ceia SemiDesign, a provider of communication chips and IP for WiFi HaLow and Cellular NB-IoT applications, has selected Agile Analog’s data converter and power management IP for its next-generation of WiFi and cellular IoT products.
5G networks are now fatser than WiFi
Open Signal has been benchmarking speeds of WiFi and newly rolled 5G networks. It turns out that 5G is now offering higher speed than WiFi in various countries around teh world as shown in the diagram above.

Dialog Launches two modules for ultra low power Wi-Fi connectivity
The modules have 4MB flash and required RF components which including a crystal oscillator, RF-lumped filter, and either a chip antenna or a u.FL connector.
WiFi-6 adoption to benefit Taiwanese RF players
According to Digitimes, Taiwance IC vendors Mediatek, Realtek and RichWave are all expetced to benefit from Wi-Fi 6 adoption in 2020.
With its share in China's Wi-Fi RF chip market much higher than than 5% share it holds globally, the growing sales of Wi-Fi 6 RF chips are likely to contribute 20% to RichWave's total revenues in 2020, said the sources.

6GHz Wi-Fi to generate $183 billion by 2025, study says
The FCC's proposal for the 6GHz band would open it for standard-power Wi-Fi connections, and also for low-power indoor connections (LPI) and very-low-power connections (VLP). The latter two are the bread and butter for machine-to-machine communications (M2M), which could prove pivotal as the Internet of Things continues to evolve.
